SO HAPPY THAT ELLA IS PART OF YOUR FAMILY...SHE SEEMS VERY CONTENT. THANK YOU FOR ADOPTING HER.

Hi there

This is just to confirm that everything goes very well with the kitten!

Ella (we changed her name) has been checked by the vet and has been spayed a
couple of days ago. Everything went well and she recovered nicely. She has a
also Microchip now and is very well integrated within our family.
Our other two cats have accepted her. She's playing a lot with Tiger (cat in
the middle - male, 5 year old) and has some respect to Happy (black cat -
female, also 5 year old).

This being said: we're having a good time!

Woody found a foster home! Thank you!

***Update: Woody is safely in foster care! Thank you to everyone for helping!***

Please consider fostering sweet Woody the cat, who is having a tough time at our shelter. Poor little guy was abandoned in a house, left behind by his former owners. He arrived quite a bit underweight, but he has been tested (negative) for feline leukemia/FIV, is already neutered, and is current on vaccinations/flea prevention. Woody's front paws had been declawed by previous owners.

COCO IS A PRETTY DOG! IT LOOKS AS THOUGH THE KIDS WILL KEEP HER BUSY. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ADOPTING HER AND GIVING HER A WONDERFUL FAMILY AND HOME.

Hello!

I just wanted to give an update about a very special puppy we adopted two weeks ago today.

She was known as Kate, but we have named her Coco. With the nickname of Coco-Loco since she has so much energy. She loves to camp with us, go on long walks, and has made several friends (human and canine). She also has her own Instagram page if anyone wants to follow her @cocorigsbyandco feel free!!!

I've included some pictures to show how she's grown.

We've taken her to the vet and they agree with us, she is a pointer mix of some kind. We get so many compliments about how pretty she is!

Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt Coco!!!

About us ...

Welcome to the online home of the Clinton County Humane Society, located in Wilmington, Ohio. We are a group of Clinton County citizens who are dedicated to protecting and saving the lives of homeless, abused and neglected animals in Clinton County.

Our animals are vet-checked and spayed/neutered before their adoptions to ensure they are healthy when they find their loving family and home and to help control the animal population.

We have wonderful dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens for adoption. If you want to add a new member to the family, consider choosing one of our adoptable pets.

Here at the Clinton County Humane Society, we rely on our volunteers for their time, talents, hard work and compassion to accomplish our goal of finding wonderful loving homes for the discarded dogs and cats in Clinton County. If you have questions about volunteering, please email us .

We are proud of Project Abigail, which began in 2009, an ongoing program where we spay/neuter the father and mother of a litter that we take in at no cost.

Adoptions…In 2023 we found homes for 331 previously homeless animals. Thanks go to our wonderful caring volunteers and to our dedicated individuals who bring us supplies and funds.

Our Shelter…We moved our dogs and cats into our large, very comfortable new shelter in 2006. The dogs have outside runs as well as large fenced-in areas where they can run and play. The floor of their inside space is heated, keeping them warm in the cold winter weather. Our cats have their own rooms where they are free to play and sleep.

Donations… As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, donating to the Clinton County Humane Society is deductible to the full extent of the law. Your donation can help animals find homes and receive veterinary care, and you can deduct donations on your taxes (consult your tax advisor for more).
