DeeDee is living the dream!

DeeDee was adopted from our shelter two years ago, and she appears to be aging backward! Her family updated us recently, saying, “She is the most amazing and most laid back dog. She is such a sweetheart.”
Her family says DeeDee “is living the dream” in Michigan.
“We are so lucky that the other family didn’t come to get her. She is the best dog!! Thanks again!”

Thank YOU for adopting DeeDee from the Clinton County Humane Society

Looking for a new family

Sunni is so beautiful! Approximately 3 years old, Sunni cannot live with cats and will actually do best with no other dogs either. She is most likely housetrained.

You all came through with cat litter!

Two weeks ago, we shared that we had 22 cats/kittens and were in dire need of cat litter. So many of you generous souls helped us out, dropping off litter or having it delivered. Thank you, thank you! An overload of cats will probably be an issue all summer, so we really needed those donations!
This is a photo of a wonderful Amazon delivery sent by Helen Rollens.

Dewey has been loved like family since Day 1

This photo of Dewey shows how far shelter dogs can go when they are given the chance. Sure, he's a party animal 😄 — but he's also been a valued member of his adoptive family for eight years.
Adopted in September 2011, Dewey is celebrated each year with a birthday party attended by the neighborhood children.
Dewey turned 8 on May 31, and his party was June 1 this year.
His humans tell us: "Dewey is so loved. I'm constantly hearing my kids say, 'You are so cute,' cuddling with him, and playing with him. He gives us hugs on demand.
"He will only sleep between my husband and I, mostly burrowed under the covers between us. You may remember that he injured his leg not after joining our family. Back then, I had him sleep with me to avoid re-injury, and he's such a creature of habit, he has never left.
"Now that I have an 18-year-old son and 16-year-old and 12-year-old daughters, Dewey enjoys going back to bed with my kids when they sleep in.
"He also likes to go to the dog park in Xenia. I take him on walks daily and my husband does too with the kids pitching in too. My husband sometimes likes to give him long walks, and there's been times I've had to go pick them up because Dewey is pooped and has taken refuge under a shady tree at the side of the road, refusing to move.
"Currently my husband is sitting in his recliner watching TV. Every time that happens, Dewey must join him, lying across his legs. He has been the greatest addition to our family. I call him my 4-legged 4th child."

Bruuuuuuuuuuce!

Sweet Bruce gets to chill out with his new people and know that he is truly home. ❤️
Here’s an update on Bruce, known during his time at the shelter as Buster:
“It has been a month since we adopted him and we just love him. He is the sweetest dog. We call him Bruce.
“Bruce loves going on walks, car rides, sitting on laps, playing ball, and camping. We put in a fence so he is enjoying the back yard. He is a bit spoiled as he loves getting on the couches (as our previous dog did).
“Thank you for allowing us to give him his furever home.”
