'He is so sweet and good!'

Petey charmed his way into getting adopted a couple of Sundays ago. That face and his personality make him a lovable goofball!

His family told us: "He is so sweet and good!"
Petey settled in very well and slept the first night in their bed. 😄

Thank you for adopting Petey from the Clinton County Humane Society!

Angie's family gave her the gift of time to adjust

Beautiful Angie was adopted from our shelter in August. Although she is smiling now, Angie had a bit of a rough start, her new family told us — she was incredibly anxious about being in a new environment with new people and spent most of her time the first week just pacing.

Instead of giving up on this sweet shepherd, her family gave her the time and space and love to decompress after the stress that follows dogs when they land in shelters.

Her family says that Angie is doing so much better now.

"She is so sweet and loving. When she wants attention, she comes right up to you and lays her head on you until you pet her.

"We live on a quiet lane that is great for walks, and she loves going to a local park that has a good walking trail. She loves meeting new people and thinks everyone she meets is her new best friend.

"She's becoming friends with another German Shepherd named Bella that we sometimes watch.

"We are so happy that we adopted her. She has become a great addition to our family."

We are so happy that you adopted Angie from the Clinton County Humane Society and gave her the room to settle in! Thank you!

Thank you for helping with Sebastian's treatment!

Sebastian is a gorgeous malamute who was released to the dog pound with a female pitbull, Luna. They both landed at the Clinton County Humane Society.

Unfortunately, Sebastian tested positive for heartworm and requires expensive and time-consuming treatment. Our shelter, which is funded solely by private donations and with volunteer hours, asked for help paying for Sebastian's veterinary care, which will total around $800.

After posting on Facebook about Sebastian, our supporters gave $1,185 just with the online fund-raiser!

And Sebastian HAS BEEN ADOPTED! YAY!

Thank you, Lila and Austin!

Eight-year-old twins Lila and Austin used their own allowance to bring some very useful items to our shelter — as well as a monetary donation. We are grateful for their generous hearts! ❤️❤️

After seeing a commercial for a national organization, Lila and Austin decided they would help local pets with their money.

They were accompanied by their mom and their neighbor who is a longtime volunteer at the shelter.
