That's a stretchy kitty!

Tabby (now Charli 💗 girl) is loving it at her new home.

We are so glad to hear that Charli is playful and has come out of her shell — she was pretty shy in the shelter!

Thank you for adopting Charli from the Clinton County Humane Society!

Finally — snoozing on a comfy couch!

We love this update on Ginger:

"We are so happy to report that Ginger has decided to stay with us.

"She was a good girl at our dinner time, lying down and minding her own business as if she'd been raised up like that.

"She is housebroken. She slept loose in our bedroom with no incident.

"She saw the guys off to work this morning. And, now, we will nap until it's time to go for a walk and get some schooling!"

Thank you for adopting Ginger from the Clinton County Humane Society!

Any brand, any amount. Thank you!

If you're at the grocery store, or the dollar store, or the big-box store, please pick up an extra bottle of bleach for our shelter. Any brand, any amount. Thank you!

'She's the best dog I ever had'

This adoption update is from someone who works with an area sheriff's department who said that Kye, the adopted dog, keeps the working dog company "and out of trouble." 🙂

"I adopted one of my German shepherds from your shelter in 2015. Her shelter name was Greta. (Now named Kye). Unfortunately, I don’t have her shelter picture anymore. But she is 14 now! I have attached a couple of pictures for you to show how well she’s doing for such a geriatric old lady. She’s the best dog I’ve ever had.  She has helped me raise and train a lot of puppies. She is worth her weight in gold. Thank you for all the hard work your organization continues to do!"

Thank YOU for adopting Kye!

'Boots is absolutely hilarious'

Boots is doing really well in her new home, and that bottom right photo is the picture of doggie bliss!

Her adopters told us: "She and my dog Harold hit it off immediately. It feels like they have lived together forever. Boots is absolutely hilarious. She's curious, smart and very independent. She keeps bringing me the cat's toys as little presents, lol. Most amusingly, she imitates every behavior Harold does and seems to taking a lot of cues from him. It's so cute.

"Thank you for keeping her safe until we found her! She's wonderful."

Thank YOU for adopting Boots from the Clinton County Humane Society!

Duke is a big boy now

The first photo is handsome, grown-up Duke, and on the second is his photo when he was a baby in the shelter.

His adopters told us: "This guy here is pretty happy he was adopted in 9/21. Can’t believe my boy is going to be 2 this summer. This is Duke, formerly Nike!"

Thank you for adopting Duke from the Clinton County Humane Society!

'He's much taller than I am'

Conrad's people sent us this adorable photo: "When you suddenly realize shadows are a thing." 😁

Does he realize the power of puppy eyes?

This is Liam. He was adopted last weekend and is settling in with his new family.

They told us: "He and Lily, our older Lab, are learning to be in each other’s space. We actually caught them napping close to each other today. Liam was completely powered down and Lily settled down beside him. So sweet.

"He is so smart I cannot believe it. He knew 'sit' the first day and has only had a couple accidents in the house and that’s because I missed his cue—he goes to the door but might move before I turn my head and see him. I gave him a food puzzle if Lily’s to try last night and he cleared it in less than three minutes!

"Thanks again for taking such good care of him."

Thank YOU for adopting Liam from the Clinton County Humane Society.

Hershey is safe, secure, and snuggled

This little guy, known as Shane at our shelter, is now safe, secure, and snuggled in his new home. He is also doing well learning how to go potty and use a crate.

His family told us, "Our kids decided his name should be Hershey. He seems to be fitting in with our other dogs."

Hershey is also fitting in any human lap he finds, as you can see here.

Thank you for adopting Hershey from the Clinton County Humane Society!
