Husker is sooooo handsome!

Husker was adopted in the fall, and since then, this sweet boy (called Cloud at the shelter) has been living it up with people who adore him.
They told us: "We love having him as part of our family!! He's fit in since day one."

This is Husker's baby picture:

Is that Ace? Or a Minion?

After waiting more than a month in the shelter, Ace was adopted September 2018. However, he found the perfect family who appreciates his big personality and takes him on many adventures. In October trick-or-treated as a Minion.
His family tells us: "This winter we discovered that he has no interest in a group of 13 turkeys that hang out in our back yard every day. He's like, 'Turkeys, again, really? What else ya got?'
"The neighborhood kids like him and he came with a few tricks — like rolling over for a treat. One mom always exclaims, 'HE'S SOOOO FLUFFY!!!' whenever she pets him.
"Why he ever sat in your shelter for 6 weeks without someone adopting him is a mystery to us. Choosing an older, calmer, dog (guessing he's 7 or 8 years old) was an excellent decision. And an easy one.
"Thanks for letting him hang with you until we came along."

We love knowing Zeus is loved and spoiled!

This little guy came from a litter of boxer-bulldogs who were at our shelter in the fall, and he was adopted the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Named Spotty at the shelter, he is now called Zeus.
His new family enjoys snuggling with Zeus — his face is impossible to resist!
One of his people told us: "I thought you all night enjoy seeing our precious pup and how loved/spoiled he is. "Thank you so much for rescuing him and helping us find this (not so) little guy!"

A heartwarming update on Minnie

Minnie was pregnant when she made her way to our shelter, then had a litter of adorable (but hefty!) puppies, all of whom were adopted quickly.
Minnie's human tells us that she has adjusted well to her new home and that she and her canine sister Caramel are very loving to each other. They enjoy snuggling together.
Her owner says, "Minnie has become vocal since I brought her home, and Caramel likes to be a teacher for her. Minnie has met her grandparents, her canine aunts, and one of her human aunts. I'm looking forward to introducing her to her cousins when the opportunities present themselves."

Thank you for adopting Minnie from the Clinton County Humane Society!

New life, new love for Scout

This handsome guy wasn't with us very long, but he is now part of a loving family that is very appreciative of him.
His new owner tells us: "We are so happy to have Scout in our lives. He’s such a kind a good boy! The chihuahuas are getting a bit better with him, and we know that will come in time. He goes to the dance studio with me on more relaxed days I have teaching. He loooooves our dancers and they love him.
"Thank you so much for the work you do and for bringing Scout into our lives. I didn’t know I would love him this much." 🥰
Thank you so much for adopting Scout from the Clinton County Humane Society!

Little Bolt, big sister Ginger

Good golly, that's a lot of cuteness.
The little guy is Bolt, who was adopted a few weeks ago from our shelter and now lives in Pittsburgh.
Bolt loves to play with his big sister Ginger and he enjoys snuggles on the couch or in bed. He also likes to go to doggie daycare, where he plays with his buddies there as well.

Petunia is living her best life!

This is a heartwarming update for all of us who love Petunia. She stayed at our shelter for more than a year before her saving grace adopted her. Look at sweet Petunia now!

Layla is model adopted doggie!

Some of our alumni make a career in fashion — this is beautiful Leia modeling the latest trend in canine outerwear. ☺️
Known as Layla at our shelter, this sweet girl waited several months to find the right fit because she's not a fan other dogs.
But her adopted people love Leia and her cuddly personality, which is surfacing more and more each day.
Her family tells us: "Thank you again for allowing us to adopt her — she has filled a void in our home and hearts! Also would like to say thanks to you and all the volunteers that take time out of your lives to help and care for so many homeless animals! I thank God for people like you!"

Thank you for adopting Leia from the Clinton County Humane Society!

Happy update: Star was adopted 7 years ago

This is a face that could easily convince you to hand over all your dog treats.
Star, previously known as Bunny at our shelter, was adopted 7 years ago when she was about 4 months old.
Star's owner tells us: "I just wanted to share and let everyone know she is doing pretty well and still acts like the loving puppy we brought home. Thank you for helping so many animals find their forever homes."

Thank YOU for adopting from the Clinton County Humane Society!
