Rayna joins two other adoptees

From Rayna's family: "We just adopted Rayna this past Wednesday and she is already completely at home! 🤗 She is such a little love, so sweet, beautiful, and energetic! This picture shows her (the tabby) all tuckered out after hopping and bouncing around, playing with toys! She is just as spoiled as her big sister Belle (the canine) and big brother Luc 😉 We loved her name and felt it really suits her, so we decided to keep it! ♥️ Belle stopped (for the most part lol) being scared of Rayna and we are slowly but surely getting Luc to be more accepting of his new baby sister! 🙈Thank you, CCHS, for allowing us to adopt for a third time! We are completely in love with all three of our babies!"

June 16: Happy Gotcha Day for Jack!

From his family: "Six years ago Jack (Gill was his shelter name) claimed us as his family. He's a goofy, rabbit chasing, loving guy. He keeps the laughter in this house with all his quirkiness. We absolutely adore him. (Of course I'm biased because he's a Momma's Boy ☺️)"

Lacey has found a new home!

We were surprised how long Lacey had stayed at the shelter, but obviously she was waiting for just the right people! ❤️
Thank you so much for adopting from the Clinton County Humane Society!

These photos of Cricket? Pure joy!

Excuse us while we just gaze at them and think about this sweet puppy and her litter-mates. 😍
We received an update on Cricket, formerly known as Dapple at the shelter.
"As expected, she's grown quite a bit! She's proven herself both a herder and a pointer and she had energy beyond belief. Meeting other people and dogs has been a blast but baths and (surprisingly) walks have not been a fan favorite.
"Cricket is a smart little thing too. She knows sit, down, turn around, and is working on stay and come. She's fully crate trained and about 95% potty trained.
"Her favorite thing in the world is her brother Marius, a sweet black cat who luckily loves dogs. She pees with excitement at the sight of him and he's quick to welcome her presence.
"She knows the rules and loves to see how she can push and bend them. We love her so much and we're so grateful to have found her through you! Thank you!"

Thank YOU for adopting from the Clinton County Humane Society!

Asking for donations for Sasha

This sweet boxer mix, Sasha, had complications with her spay surgery, so our shelter had to pay a larger-than-usual veterinary bill for her. We are hoping to raise around $325 to help cover the extra expense.
Small donations add up! You can use the PayPal link on this site or mail a check (with reference to Sasha) to Clinton County Humane Society, 1760 Fife Ave., Wilmington OH 45177.
Thank you so much.

Do you have a pup from this litter?

Back in May 2017, there was a litter of eight puppies at the shelter, all with names starting with V.
A family came in for one of the last two but ended up adopting both, Vita and Vasco — and it was the pups' lucky day! They have lived a fantastic doggie life since.
The family would love to see updates on any of the other puppies from that litter, named Vargas, Viggo, Venn, Vixen, and Vandy.
You can email us at clintoncohumanesociety@yahoo.com if you have an update about this litter!

Nemo certainly is a 'good soul'

Back in 2012, a boxer named Clyde arrived at the shelter and was with us more than six months, getting adopted in early 2013. Renamed Nemo, he was about three or four years old at the time.
Nemo has been with a wonderful family who has taken great care of him. He enjoys car rides, walks on the bike trail, and watching any cooking that is going on in the kitchen.
He also sleeps at night in the human bed but is polite enough not to sprawl.
Nemo is a "good soul," as a veterinarian once said, and two babies learned to walk by pulling themselves up by his jowls and hanging onto him. He is loved by many people, and we are so happy to share this update with everyone.

We are grateful for your generosity!

We asked for your help with providing cat litter, and so many of you came through for us! We often find bags and containers waiting for us on the porch.
