Everyone — from the owner, the employees, the customers, the donors — pitched in to help raise $934.50 total this year, which will do great deal of good for the homeless pets of Clinton County!
They also donated all kinds of pet items to the shelter!

Love this pupdate:
"My boyfriend and I adopted Hank back in July, and I wanted to reach out and give you guys an update on him. He is the sweetest boy and loves to cuddle! He has very high standards when it comes to comfort, and has a big fluffy bed with a large throw blanket and a memory foam pillow. He also has another throw blanket and pillow on the couch, of which he now owns. He has even made a special nest in our guest room using a gigantic comforter and multiple pillows.
Amy's Pet Grooming in Wilmington, Ohio, not only assists us with occasional grooming throughout the year, they have hosted this fund-raiser for us for several years now! We are so grateful to everyone at Amy's!

“It’s been about 6 years now but if anyone there remembers Zane the fluffy white Husky, here’s an update! “His name is still Zane, it seemed to fit him pretty well 🙂
“He has been the best addition EVER to my pack. Zane is the sweetest, most loving snuggly boy and I can’t imagine life without him!
“Thank you so much for rescuing him and giving me the opportunity to spoil him. He’s now 1 of 3 Siberians in my home and loves his siblings, going camping and walkies!
“Thank you all for doing what you do!😊”
Thank YOU for adopting Zane from the Clinton County Humane Society!
Lucy and Scruffy were both adopted through our shelter and are living their best lives with a shelter volunteer, who said, "Our lives are so much better with them as well!"
Thank you to our volunteers who not only give their time to all the animals at our shelter but often take care of adopted pets at home! ❤️ #adoptdontshop
Darby was part of a litter of pit puppies who were released to us through our Project Abigail -- we spayed/neutered the pups' parents and found amazing homes for all the puppies, including Darby.
Now, in her new life, Darby and her owner go to work at a veterinary office. LOOK AT HER COAT! 😍 Darby gets to socialize with vaxed staff pets! Her new owner says, "She loves everyone and anything she has met!!
Darby is also getting professional training at American Success Dog Training so she can be her best self!
Thank you for adopting Darby (formerly Fay) from the Clinton County Humane Society!
Sunny had spent such a long time waiting for a home, we are thrilled for her.
If you're out shopping and can pick up an extra item for our shelter, you can always drop it off on our covered porch at 1760 Fife Ave., Wilmington, Ohio.
We currently are in desperate need of newspaper!
Thank you!
Back in mid-October, many people shared a Facebook post about adorable Henry the puppy. Well, just days later, Henry was adopted!
And then we received this touching photo, which really brings the happy tears!
Henry's owner told us: "Henry is a super pet! Sending you a picture of him with my blind cat, Bobby. They love each other!" 🦮🐈❤❤️
Thank you to Henry's people for adopting him from the Clinton County Humane Society!
We received this update from Sunny's family:
"Highly recommend adopting from you! We love our little Sunny! She loves her 'big sister' Autumn!"
Thank you for adopting from the Clinton County Humane Society!
Rocky was recently adopted and has made himself right at home. 😁
“Rocky is the best behaving and loving pup I’ve ever seen! He is indeed a bed hog, but I don’t mind lol”
Thank you for adopting from the Clinton County Humane Society!
The family who recently adopted Bliss (now CocoaPuff) let us know that she is doing well in her first five days in her new home.
They told us: “She is settling in nicely and has already made friends with her 9-year-old sister 🥰.”
Thank you for adopting from the Clinton County Humane Society!
"Here is Oreo, formally known as Cryus. He's been such a great addition to the family and fitting in very well. He's such a good boy and has the perfect amount of puppy energy but also knows how to take a great nap! We love him and are excited to see the kind of dog he grows into!"
Thank you for adopting from the Clinton County Humane Society!
“Amber is beginning to be a chunky girl, but she loves being with us. She is such a sweet cat and is always checking on my kids. We love her, and thank you so much for allowing us to adopt her!”
Thank you for adopting from the Clinton County Humane Society!
Percy must work so hard at the office that he crashes after dinner each night. 😉
Here's the update from the family who adopted him:
"We adopted Vance (now Percy) almost a month ago! We love him and he loves to play, sleep, and repeat! Thanks again so much for letting us adopt him!"
Thank you for adopting Percy from the Clinton County Humane Society!
Early on a recent rainy Sunday morning, after seeing what our immediate needs were, a group of four members (including one who’s camera-shy) of the Black Swamp Chapter of the Redrum Motorcycle Club & Society pulled up to our shelter with a truckful of much-needed cat litter, bleach, and Dawn liquid — as well as their rakes, shovels, and weed-eaters.
They cleaned up and shoveled gravel in our outside dog yards, which wasn’t an easy task! They were such a blessing to us, and we are incredibly thankful!
One of the members, Shawn, had adopted a dog named Angel from our shelter a few years ago and has given her an amazing life!
Also, the little dog Shawn is holding in the photo was adopted to a very nice woman from Michigan. 👏🏼
THANK YOU!
Piper's people let us know recently how this sweet dog is doing:
"Adopted this beauty in 2014. She is the smartest best girl ever. Piper, known as Callie in the shelter. 🥰🥰"
With two pregnant dogs in our care, we needed new pools that we use as whelping boxes. It’s kind of past kiddie-pool season, so a volunteer first called the local big-box retailer only to have the line to customer service just ring and ring and ring and ring …
Then we thought of our Wilmington Ohio Ace Hardware. An actual human being picked up the phone right away, pleasantly checked to see what quantity/size pools they had in stock, and said she’d hold them for us until we could get there a little while later.
The clerk at the counter met our volunteer, remembered the phone conversation, and communicated to the folks in the back. By the time our shelter volunteer walked the short distance to the rear of the store, the other two employees were already working on getting the 4 large/2 small pools loaded so they could deliver all the way out the volunteer’s van!
The clerk even shared that she had fostered animals and was going to get a rescue pup very soon!
The whole transaction took just a matter of minutes, with superb customer service! (Probably took less time overall than the time on the phone trying to reach the giant retailer.)
This is just one of many reasons to #shoplocal!
Thank you, Ace Hardware, for helping us help the doggie mamas!
One of our generous supporters sent us ten 25-pound boxes of cat litter a couple of months ago. It really got us through a low-litter time!
We have lots of cats and kittens -- with multiple litters in foster care because we can't keep them all at the shelter!
Thank you, Sherry, and to all our supporters who drop off a bag/box of cat litter when they can! We couldn't do this without you! ❤
P.S. We're not picky -- we can use any brand or kind of litter.
A pupdate: “Pictures of Murphy, who came home with us last Thursday!! Thanks for all your kindness.”
Thank YOU for adopting from the Clinton County Humane Society!
Recently, Bentley (the black dog), Nova (the brindle dog), and their people had family photos taken and, as always, their people said, the two adorable dogs were the stars of the show.
From their pupdate:
"We got both of these boys at 8 weeks from you. Bentley is now 3 and Nova is 2. They grow up so fast 🥲."
Thank you for adopting not one but TWO dogs from the Clinton County Humane Society!
From Pinky's people:
"We want to thank everyone who provided love and care during our Pinky long stay with the humane society. We have had her for 14 months now. She has made a wonderful additional to our family. She loves to run beside my bicycle or ride in her cart. She loves to travel but preferred to be home at night. She is happiest when she has her pack near her. Again, thanks for watching out for her until we were able to make her a part of our family. We are blessed to have her love and affection."
An update on pretty Piper:
This is Freya (formerly Ophelia). Her family let us know that she is loving life!
When they adopted her, they took the approach that "a lot of love and a little training go a long way."
Freya loves pillows, stuffed toys, and the sun. ☀️
If she's not the picture of "Happy Adopted Dog," we don't know what is!
Thank you for adopting from the Clinton County Humane Society!
The adopted kitten invaded his space, but they are warming up to each other, slowly but surely.
Thank you for adopting from the Clinton County Humane Society!
"Leo (formerly Bart) is adjusting very well! He can nap just about anywhere and loves to play fetch."
Po had his first visit with his new family's veterinarian and did very well! Po is such a handsome guy who seems to already know that he will be loved and cared for all his life.
"We renamed Sir after the panda bear in the animated movie 'Kung Fu Panda,' so his new name is Po. My daughter calls him Po bear 🙂
"His new sister, Ivy, is still getting used to him. He's a very sweet boy and is slowly encouraging her to play with him."
Thank you for adopting Po from the Clinton County Humane Society!
Grace and her friends are wonderfully thoughtful and generous!
For Grace’s 14th birthday, she requested items we need at the shelter — and she and her friends came through!
This is not the first time Grace had done this for the Clinton County Humane Society. 🥰 Thank you, Grace, for sharing your birthday with the animals waiting to be adopted!
Thank you to everyone with generous hearts!
🥰🐾🦴🐈⬛🐈
Sophie's owner told us: "When temps got way below freezing, Sophie shivered in cold. I bought her a winter coat with a hood. She likes it. Actually, she likes everything."
Thank you for adopting Sophie from the Clinton County Humane Society!
Adopted in September (as Phoebe), Gracie has enjoyed being loved at Christmas, chooses from plenty of toys, keeps her humans company while they’re reading or goofing off, and she even attends sporting events! (That hat! 😍)
Her family told us, when they sent us photos of “Gracie living her best life”:
“She is such a smart and wonderful dog, I couldn't love her more!! I have taken her to puppy training and she recently graduated from her Level 1 class and will be starting Level 2 soon.”
Thank you for adopting Gracie from the Clinton County Humane Society!
